The Surviving Spirit newsletter has been going out for many years. The idea behind the newsletter is to share news, resources and helpful information that could help any and all who have been impacted by the concerns of trauma, abuse or mental health. And their respective endeavors and accomplishments should be shared with others their example of overcoming adversity is a great way to offer. Hope, healing and help.

I noticed that the web page stated " To promote Hope, Healing and Help for those impacted by trauma, abuse or mental health concerns through the use of the creative arts, a speakers bureau, newsletter, website, brochure, retail gallery, coffeehouse, media center and more." They also stated " To offer healing arts workshops, training, classes and events that teach creative crafts and skills to others just for the joy and the fun of learni." The meta header had Healing as the first keyword. This keyword was followed by Healing and Music, Healing and Art, and Creativity and Healing which isn't as urgent as Healing. Sunday, November 8, 2009. I have chosen to start this blog as a means to survive the role of step-parenting, and to share stories with other step-parents who may be in the same situation. Now to share my story with you. I met my husband 4 years ago, he was and is everything I could ever want in a man. Along with my husband came 2 young boys, aged 10 and 8. At the time I had 3 young children of my own, and thought, the more the merrier, how bad could 2 more be? Why is it so difficult? How do I overcome it? .
